Pripyat and Kids` Hospital
Out of almost 50,000 of inhabitants in Pripyat, kids were third part of the population. Taking into account the number of children in Ptypiat, there was a need to build separate facility for the kids despite the fact that the city had pretty big hospital no.126.

Kids’ hospital is located close to the central part of the city. 3 storey building had necessary equipment and doctors to have from 480 to 600 appointments daily. Also, there was a swimming pool for the disabled people. The walls of the corridors were decorated with characters from cartoons and fairytales, however, usually they were teaching how to take care of you properly or informing about illnesses and diseases. While the majority of medical equipment was evacuated after the accident, the posters and toys thrown all over the building remain in the kids’ hospital till today.
